Coming to the end

Noleigh's Snowangel

With March ending in a week from today, I realized that it has been a long time since I posted some pictures. It has been a fun month, and very busy. Hiram started Karate a few weeks ago and has really enjoyed his lessons. He pays very close attention to his Sensai and has been working hard to master the skills that are being taught. After one of his sessions, trophies caught his eye. He spent several minutes inspecting them, seeing how they were built, what figures were on top. . . Dan enjoyed watching Hiram inspect them.

Last week for history, we were learning about the Ancient Indian city of Mohenjo-Daro. The kids had a fun activity of building some ruins of the city. They made their own clay bricks, used "mortar" (gingerbread house icing) and built these little dwellings. It was such a fun project!

And our month would not be complete unless one thing exciting happened. Hiram lost his first tooth last Thursday. He is so proud that you can see his grown up tooth coming in behind it. Dan has had fun calling him our "snaggle-tooth," but it was especially fun because of the tooth fairy. The tooth fairy went in to leave some money under his pillow, but lo and behold there was already money under there along with a note . . . from Noleigh. She was so worried before she fell asleep that the tooth fairy would not come she left money for him herself. Once Hiram was awake, had deposited his money from his sister and was downstairs, the real toothfairy was able to come and leave something. Older sisters that like to be involved are a lot of fun!
