Pajama's and Blue Hair

No, you are not imagining it, the kids and the adults ARE in their PJ's!!!

Tomorrow is Noleigh's last day of school and they made sure that today would be one to remember. It was the Kiwanis Terrific Kid's assembly, which is held every nine weeks. Basically, if a child sets a goal and meets, they are given a certificate at the Terrific Kids assembly. Noleigh was one of the children awarded for meeting her goal of listening to the teacher. Story Bob, the older gentleman in the picture, is the Kiwanis representative to Barron. He is a retired general and loves to get the children to "Huahh." The kids love him and he loves being in the school with the children.

Also, because the older kids reached their goal for AR points, Mrs. Wallen, the schools principle rewarded the school by having a PJ day AND coming to school with her hair in the school colors. So the lady with blue and white hair IS in fact the principal of the school. Mrs. Wallen has been amazing to work with. We just love her and will definitely miss her as we change schools.

As if PJ day and blue hair was not enough, Noleigh's class had their end of the year party. I had the good fortune of picking up 40 Happy Meals from McDonald's and transporting them to the hungry pack of 1st graders. I was able to stay for the party and witness just how ready the children are for summer. It has been unbearably hot today, so the kids outdoor party turned into an indoor free-for-all. Noleigh's teacher is also on maternity leave, so I feel very sorry for the dear sub who has filled her spot.

WHAT A FUN DAY!!
